DESCRIPTION
DAY 1 – CULTURAL DAY
Welcome to Lapland! On your first day, you will discover the city of Rovaniemi and the local cultures.
The day starts with a cultural electric fatbike tour. You will discover with your guide a few famous attractions in the town but also some less-famous hidden treasures related to cultural, architectural and historical aspects of the city-centre.
The fat tires of your bikes allow you to ride on every kind of terrain! The engine will help you in the most difficult moments and will offer an incredible comfort. This is the perfect way to explore Rovaniemi in summer!
After the visit of the city-center, you will cycle over the river through some forests in the direction of Santa Claus Village. There you may cross the Polar Arctic Circle, meet Santa Claus and discover the official post office where all letters arrive from all around the world.
The afternoon will be left free ; we recommend to use that free time to visit the Arktikum Museum near the city centre.
As “night” comes, prepare yourself for a memorable Finnish Legends & Tales evening around the fire! This story-telling experience will offer you an opportunity to learn more about Finnish culture, traditions and local history. While sharing his knowledge, your guide will even cook some pancakes around the open fire!
Depending on your time of arrival, it is possible to postpone the e-fatbike tour to the afternoon instead of morning.
DAY 2 – PADDLE INTO PEACE
This day, you will explore the never-ending landscapes of Lapland and their peaceful waters. You will live a full day canoe adventure.
Your certified guide will take you to a starting point, away from Rovaniemi. After the first explanations and safety instructions, you will find yourself paddling down a beautiful river. Take your time to enjoy your surroundings and have a few breaks whenever you want to take pictures. Canoeing is indeed the perfect way to experience Lapland peacefulness : it allows you to connect with the beautiful arctic nature from a different perspective while enjoying some moderate exercise.
Halfway you will make a lunch break in a nice spot where your guide can prepare a delicious snack around the fire to regain strength before continueing your journey. This will be a great opportunity to learn how to build a fire in arctic conditions and ask all your questions about like in the Far North.
At the end of this trip you will come back to Rovaniemi and having a free time for the evening!
Alternative : if you would prefer a short canoeing tour, we may arrange a morning canoe tour that may be completed with a horseback riding trip in the afternoon or evening.
DAY 3 – ADVENTURE AND RELAX
Let’s go today for an half-day hiking trip to discover Lapland landscapes. The hike is always adapted to the level of the group with different difficulty options, and is usually around 4-5km. The tour lasts 3h30-4h. Even without snow, Lapland is worth exploring!
DAYS 4 – 5 : ANIMAL DAYS…
AND NIGHT!
During those 2 days, you will enjoy a road trip thoughout Lapland with an overnight in a wilderness cabin to observe the brown bears! The trip combines 4 animal activities with lunch/snacks to offer you an ultimate Arctic animals journey in Lapland!
You will enjoy a complete visit of an authentic reindeer farm, meet the herders and their animals, learn about their lifestyles and reindeer husbandry. As it is the first visit of the day, you will also get the chance to feed the reindeers with some of their favourite food. This is a great chance to approach the animals too, as reindeer are still very wild.
You will then go to visit an ethical Polar dog kennel, and you can help the mushers by participating in the training of the dogs.
You will continue your journey to reach a wilderness cabin where you can spend the night and watch wild brown bears! Bear-watching is a once-in-a-lifetime experience ; during this special night, you will sleep in the wilderness cabin while the population of brown bears will be wandering in the surroundings!
On the following morning you will drive to Ranua Wildlife Park, which is the world-northernmost wildlife park and a very popular destination in Lapland. The visit is a great opportunity to meet and learn about all the arctic animals, including polar bears, arctic foxes, eagles and owls, moose, musks, otters, wolves, etc.
You will be back to Rovaniemi around 14:00, and have a free afternoon to enjoy on your own. A buffet lunch in the restaurant, and snacks will be included during those two days. Sleeping bags and other equipment are included too.

DEPARTURE

Transportation and most of the activities are in small groups. Participants will be accompanied by a professional guide during the holidays.
A minimum of 2 adult participants is required for the trip to operate. For large groups (more than 8 participants), please contact us and we can discuss a specific package.
Child can take part at this package from 12 years old.
CANCELLATION POLICY
- We will charge a cancellation fee of 20% if booking is cancelled 31 days or more before departure;
- We will charge a cancellation fee of 100% if booking is cancelled 30 days or less before departure.

PAYMENT
Payment by bank transfer and credit card are accepted.
An immediate 30% deposit payment is required to confirm the booking. Payment of the remaining 70% is required at least one month before departure.
