Experience Finnish sauna culture at a private wilderness cabin beside a frozen lake near Rovaniemi. Surrounded by Lapland’s quiet winter forest, the wood-heated log sauna offers couples, families, and small groups a peaceful setting to relax, reconnect with nature, and enjoy an important Finnish tradition.
Your guide will prepare the sauna and explain how to create löyly by pouring water over the hot stones. Alternate between the warmth of the sauna and cooling down outside in the fresh air or snow. When ice and weather conditions are safe, you may also try optional ice swimming in an avanto. Towels, soap, traditional birch tar sauna oil, hot drinks, and a local snack are provided, while your group enjoys complete privacy.
The experience lasts approximately 3,5 hours, including transportation, with around one hour dedicated to the sauna. The north-facing lake and limited surrounding light provide suitable conditions for watching the Northern Lights when the sky is clear and aurora activity is sufficient, although sightings cannot be guaranteed.

Pickup is included in the tour price from the standard pickup locations listed below.
When booking, you can choose pickup or meet at the designated meeting point.
To reduce the environmental impact of unnecessary short-distance vehicle transfers, guests staying less than 750 m from the Nordic Odyssey office are required to meet directly at the office. Pickup is therefore not provided within this area.
Pickup is included within 8 km of Rovaniemi centre.
Pickup outside the standard area may be possible for an additional charge. A location on the route to the activity may sometimes be included at no extra cost.
