DESCRIPTION
DAY 1 – ARRIVAL
Welcome to Lapland!
On your first evening, you will go for a Northern lights photography hunting. Autumn and early winter are a good period to observe auroras. The nights are getting long, offering more opportunity to spot the green arches and the temperatures are aditedly cold but not as extreme as during Winter. This is also a good time for photography! In October, we can enjoy beautiful reflections of the Northern lights in the waters (they are not frozen yet), while in November the first snow layers make it beautiful and white all around you!
Based on the weather forecasts and space conditions, your guide will drive in the most promising directions to increase your chance. A snack around the fire will be provided as you wait for the Northern lights to appear in the sky. Your guide, who is an aurora expert, will share all his knowledge about this fantastic phenomenon and the mythology associated to it. And of course, all pictures taken with the professional camera will be sent to you in high quality!
NB: depending on your time of arrival and tiredness, we can plan an additional activity during the day.
NB2: the Northern Lights photography hunt is scheduled on the first night so you don’t miss any chance. However, it is possible to move the excursion to another night if the weather conditions are not good. Rescheduling is subject to availability.
DAY 2 – CULTURAL DAY
This morning, you will discover the emblematic animal of Lapland with an eco-friendly way. Let’s go for an electric-fatbike trip to the reindeer farm!
Reindeer has played a significant part in local traditional lifestyle. Meeting those lovely semi-wild animals is always a unique experience for anyone visiting Rovaniemi! During the ride to the farm you will go through forest and lappish nature for approximately 45 minutes. After that you will arrive at the Reindeer Farm for a very local experience.
After this morning, you will have free afternoon to enjoy on your own. We recommand you visiting some famous place of Rovaniemi, as Arktikum Museum near to the city centre. For those want to meet the Santa Claus, you can easily go to Santa Claus Village, 8km from the city centre by bus or by renting e-fatbikes from us. Once there, you can visit the Post Office where all letters addressed to Santa Claus arrive or cross the Arctic Circle.
In the evening, you will enjoy a relaxing cultural night around the fire.
DAY 3 – EXPLORE LAPLAND NATURE & RELAXING MOMENT
Let’s go today for a Half-Day Hiking Trip to discover Lapland landscapes. The hike is always adapted to the level of the group with different difficulty options, and is usually around 5 km. The tour lasts 4h. Even without snow, Lapland is worth exploring!
The experience is designed to go through some elusive nature area or reach some viewpoints over the immense subarctic forests. Along the way, your outdoor guide will explain to you about your surroundings, the fauna and flora, footprints in the early snow or in the mud, how to use trees or mushrooms, identify the berries to eat, and some other basics of how to survive in such difficult conditions.
DAY 4 – DISCOVERING ARCTIC ANIMALS
Today, this Autumn Package will let you enter in Ranua Wildlife Park to discover arctic animals!
Located one hour away from Rovaniemi, the Ranua Wildlife Park is the northernmost wildlife park in the world. It consists of approximately 50 wild animal species and 200 individuals. It this then possible to see polar bears, brown bears, wild reindeer, wolves, wolverines, lynxes, predatory birds, otters, wild boars, and so many others.
Along the forest path, your guide will explain you more about way of living and specific caracteristic of each animal that you will be able to see.
After the visit of the park, you will enjoy a tasty buffet lunch in the restaurant and drive back to Rovaniemi.
You will be back in Rovaniemi for the afternoon for free evening!
DAY 5 – HUSKY CART RIDE
If you are wondering what the sleigh dogs are doing in autumn, this day will give you the answer!
In autumn, mushers need to train their dogs before snow arrives ; wheel cart rides are then a great opportunity to feel the thrill of leading your dog team while contributing to their training!
Driving instructions will be provided by the mushers so you can learn how to safely steer the cart. Once ready, you will get the chance to drive yourself your own wheel cart for about 5-6 km (20 min) into the autumn forests of Lapland! After the ride, you can spend time with the dogs: they love cuddles and photos! Mushers will also be happy to answer all your questions.
DAY 6 – DEPARTURE
All good things come to an end… After this great week, it is time to say goodbye to Lapland! Undoubtedly, the beautiful landscapes, untouched nature, lovely animals and peaceful Nordic lifestyle will give you as many reasons to come back very soon… why not in Winter or Summer?

Depending on your time of departure, we may arrange extra activities/trips for you during this last day. You may also request to add one or several days to this program if you would like to enjoy more of Lapland.

Transportation and most of the activities are in small groups. Participants will be accompanied by a professional guide during the experiences.
A minimum of 2 adult participants is required for the trip to operate. For large groups (more than 8 participants), please contact us and we can discuss a specific package.
Children can join this package from 12 years old. Younger children may join an adapted version of the program – please make a request and we will be happy to offer a specific program.
November is an uncertain mount in term of snow amount. It’s important to know that the first snow may appear but it doens’t enought to enjoy snow activites such as snowmobile or sleigh dogs and reindeers. More information on this blogpost!
CANCELLATION POLICY
- We will charge a cancellation fee of 20% if booking is cancelled 31 days or more before departure;
- We will charge a cancellation fee of 100% if booking is cancelled 30 days or less before departure.

PAYMENT
Payment by bank transfer and credit card are accepted.
An immediate 30% deposit payment is required to confirm the booking. Payment of the remaining 70% is required at least one month before departure.
