AUTHENTIC ARCTIC EXPERIENCE COMBINING CULTURE, NATURE AND PURE RELAXATION
Discover the magic of Lapland on this private winter experience departing from Rovaniemi. Your adventure begins with a comfortable transfer to a traditional reindeer farm, where you will meet these iconic Arctic animals and take part in a feeding session. Learn all about reindeer life, their characteristics, and unique behaviours from your local hosts in an authentic and welcoming setting.
After the visit, head to a traditional Finnish kota where you will enjoy delicious homemade crepes served with jam and a hot drink. This is a perfect moment to relax, warm up, and exchange stories with the reindeer herders while asking any questions about their way of life.
The journey continues deeper into the Arctic wilderness to a peaceful lakeside sauna surrounded by forest. Here, you will feel completely immersed in nature, far away from everything. Your guide will explain the importance of the sauna in Finnish culture and show you how to enjoy it the traditional way. He will light the wood-burning stove and give full instructions for an authentic sauna experience.
You will have approximately one hour to relax and enjoy the sauna. Towels, soap, birch tar oil, and all necessary equipment are provided. A refreshing dip in the lake is also possible via a pontoon for the brave, or you can simply enjoy the contrast of hot sauna and cold Arctic air, a deeply revitalising Finnish tradition. Hot drinks will be prepared for you in the cabin while you unwind.

The experience is always private for intimacy reasons. We recommend to book in advance, as availability may be limited in peak seasons.
Family rate: this rate applies to a group of up to 4 participants, including at least one adult and one child (aged 4 to 12 years old). It is offered considering that the excursion is carried out in an SUV-type vehicle (5 seats) rather than a minivan.
Please dress appropriately according to the weather, especially for the reindeer farm visit. We also recommend to bring an extra chlothing set with you for after sauna.
About sauna: the sauna takes a very important place in the traditions and culture of Finland. Finns normally go to sauna naked but it is possible to use your own swimsuit. Sauna stands for the bathroom in the wilderness cabins ; after enjoying the steam sauna, you may then take a natural shower with the hot clean waters!

- We will charge a cancellation fee of 10% if booking is cancelled 7 days or more before departure;
- We will charge a cancellation fee of 50% if booking is cancelled between 7 days and 24h before departure.
- We will charge a cancellation fee of 100% if booking is cancelled 24h or less before departure.
