DESCRIPTION
This experience is available on request! Availability is limited due to peaks in activity over the period, particularly in December for Christmas and in February.
Our excursion offers a proper experience with visit of an authentic family-sized place, a long sleigh rides (around 20 minutes) and delicious home-made crepes on open fire. This is the perfect tour for families or a romantic animal friendly get away.
After being picked up and given warm clothes, you will be transported to a 5-generation authentic reindeer farm located away from Rovaniemi. You will meet greet and feed the reindeers. After that, you will be introduced to your own reindeer and sleigh, and will go for a romantic ride of 2 km (around 20 min). A herder will always be with you and will lead the caravan (please note that a self-driven ride is not possible on longer distances because reindeer are semi-wild animals).
After the ride, you will enjoy a lovely time at the farm, where herders and your guide may answer all your questions about reindeer husbandry. A delicious pancakes cooked over the open fire! (vegan option possible on request!)

The price is per group, the minimum age is 4 years old.
The mentioned duration of the safari is only indicative; the experience may last longer or shorter, depending on snow conditions or the animal’s good willing.
We offer the pick up and drop off service in a 8km range from the city center which includes for example Ounasvaara and Santa Claus Village. For ecological and logistical reasons don’t do pick up and drop off service for accommodations located less than 500 meters from our office in the city center (Jaakonkatu 4-6, 96200 Rovaniemi). Airport transfers or transfers from more than 8km from the city center may be arranged upon request at extra cost.
CANCELLATION POLICY
- We will charge a cancellation fee of 10% if booking is cancelled 7 days or more before departure;
- We will charge a cancellation fee of 50% if booking is cancelled between 7 days and 24h before departure.
- We will charge a cancellation fee of 100% if booking is cancelled 24h or less before departure.
