DESCRIPTION
THE STORY
A mysterious locked chest awaits you at the starting point.
Inside lies ancient wisdom protected by the Secret Society of Lumberjacks, guardians of Finland’s wild nature. But the code to the chest has been hidden…
To prove yourself worthy of joining their ranks, you must embark on a 10km quest across Rovaniemi and the surrounding forest.
Visit seven locations, solve nature-inspired puzzles, and reveal the final code to unlock the chest.
THE ADVENTURE
Your journey takes you through the city’s most iconic and meaningful places :

– Korundi House of Culture
– Rovaniemi Library
– Rovaniemi Church
– Ounasvaara Tower
– Lumberjack’s Candle Bridge
– Lordi’s Square
Cycle freely, explore at your own pace, observe details of nature and architecture, and solve clues using your surroundings. Each stop reveals a piece of Rovaniemi’s history and the spirit of Lapland.

PLEASE NOTE
Departure is always from our Nordic Odyssey office located in city centre (Jaakonkatu 4-6, 96200 Rovaniemi). Hotel pick ups outside the city centre can be arranged at extra costs (please request it in advance).
RIDE SOLO ? NO HUNT ?
No problem! You may rent the electric fatbikes from us, reserve them in our online rental shop (link here) and collect them in our office in city centre. Once you arrive, the bikes and equipment will be prepared and ready for you. Furthermore, our team will also provide you with explanation how to safely use the bikes and the different itineraries you may take (you may also check our blogpost here). For families who would like to cycle around Rovaniemi, or to Santa Claus Village (8km from the city), we also rent a cart for young children (less than 22kg) that can easily adapt to the back wheel of the e-fatbike.
In additions, the electric fatbikes are provided along with safety helmets and bike locks to ensure your safety throughout the ride.
