VISIT THE ARCTIC SNOW HOTEL
Are you looking for a truly unique and memorable experience during your stay in Lapland? Then a visit to the Snow Hotel is a must!
Located just 30 km from the center of Rovaniemi, this hotel, entirely built from snow and ice, is one of the largest snow structures in the Nordic countries! Step inside and you will find many hotel rooms (yes, you may stay overnight!), an ice chapel, an ice bar, an ice restaurant. In addition, each room is individually designed around a unique theme and adorned with stunning ice sculptures.
Accompanied by our passionate guide, you’ll explore the magic of this frozen masterpiece. Throughout the visit, your guide will share stories behind the rooms and offer insights into Finnish culture.

RELAX IN A WILDERNESS SAUNA
After this cultural experience, your guide will take you into deep forests to a wilderness cabin with a log sauna. Despite having no electricity or running water, this charming cabin relies entirely on the surrounding nature. As a result, the peaceful location provides the perfect setting for relaxation and disconnection. It naturally inspires a feeling of disconnection from reality, being lost in the middle of nowhere.
Once there, your guide will heat the wood-burner in the sauna and give you more instructions how to use it in the very Finnish way. Additionally, there is also a pontoon that leads directly to the lake. For the adventurous, a wooden pontoon leads directly to a small lake, where you can take a refreshing dip in a hole cut into the ice (avanto)! Alternating between the hot sauna and cold water or cold air is very healthy.
All necessary equipment, including sauna towels, soaps, and birch tar oil, will be provided. You’re welcome to bring your swimsuit or enjoy the sauna like the locals, naked. Furthermore, the experience remains private, and your guide will ensure you have full privacy while preparing a local snack for you to enjoy afterward.

PLEASE NOTE
This experience is always arranged privately to ensure comfort and intimacy for your group. However, please note that while the sauna experience is private, other guests may be present at the Snow Hotel.
We highly recommend booking in advance, especially during peak seasons, as availability is limited. This activity is organized in collaboration with our trusted local partner Snow Hotel.
The price apply to the whole group (max. 6 participants).
Children from 4 years old are welcome; however, extended sauna exposure is not recommended for children under 8. Please be aware that during winter months, outdoor temperatures may drop as low as -30°C, and the wilderness cottage cannot be heated to standard indoor temperatures.
Dress appropriately according to the weather, including warm clothes, good winter boots, gloves, hats and thick socks. The temperatures in the hotel are maintained around -5C. You may rent professional winter overalls and winter boots for an extra cost of 5€/set.
Additionally we also recommend to bring extra drinks and an extra clothing set with you for after sauna. Adults are welcome to bring their own alcoholic beverages (e.g., beer or long drinks). However, please drink responsibly throughout the experience.
CANCELLATION POLICY
- We will charge a cancellation fee of 10% if booking is cancelled 7 days or more before departure;
- We will charge a cancellation fee of 50% if booking is cancelled between 7 days and 24h before departure.
- We will charge a cancellation fee of 100% if booking is cancelled 24h or less before departure.
