Travel beyond Rovaniemi to a family-run husky kennel in the Lapland wilderness for an experience reserved exclusively for your party. Meet the dogs and their mushers, discover the individual personalities of the huskies and receive personal guidance before beginning your adventure. The private format creates a relaxed atmosphere with more time for interaction and questions.
After clear driving and safety instructions, meet your dog team and take control of the sled on a private self-driven safari covering 6–10 km. Two participants normally share each sled, with one driving and the other travelling as a passenger. You can switch positions halfway so both participants can experience the trail. The exact route and riding time depend on snow conditions and the dogs’ natural pace.
After the safari, enjoy time with the huskies for photographs and cuddles before gathering around the fire with a hot drink and grilled sausage. The mushers will share stories and answer questions about the dogs’ training, personalities and everyday life at the kennel. A homemade salmon soup lunch can also be added on request for a warming taste of Lapland.
