Experience two of Lapland’s most iconic animals without needing snow. This guided tour visits two authentic, family-run locations outside Rovaniemi, offering meaningful encounters with reindeer and huskies, excellent photography opportunities and personal conversations with the people who care for them.
At the husky kennel, meet the dogs and their mushers, discover the huskies’ individual personalities and learn about their training and everyday care. Enjoy plenty of time for photographs, cuddles and questions while relaxing around the open fire. The unhurried visit offers a closer understanding of the dogs beyond a conventional sightseeing stop.
Continue to a long-established reindeer farm and join the animals during their daily feeding, when they are easier to approach and photograph. Meet the herders and learn about reindeer husbandry before enjoying a homemade salmon soup lunch, hot drinks and pancakes cooked over the fire. A vegan lunch can be prepared on request.

Pickup is included in the tour price from the standard pickup locations listed below.
When booking, you can choose pickup or meet at the designated meeting point.
To reduce the environmental impact of unnecessary short-distance vehicle transfers, guests staying less than 750 m from the Nordic Odyssey office are required to meet directly at the office. Pickup is therefore not provided within this area.
Some locations outside the standard pickup area may have an additional charge. When applicable, it is stated in the pickup-location name.
