Discover Kiruna
Kiruna, Sweden’s northernmost city, combines a distinctive mining heritage with the vast landscapes of Swedish Lapland. Visitors can explore the relocated city centre, discover Sámi traditions, visit the famous Icehotel in nearby Jukkasjärvi, and experience the northern lights in winter or the midnight sun in summer. Kiruna Airport is approximately 10 kilometers from the city centre, with the journey taking around 15 minutes by car or transfer service. Kiruna is a rewarding year-round destination and an excellent starting point for exploring northern Sweden, with air, rail, and road connections to other parts of Scandinavia. Accommodation options range from central hotels and traditional cabins to wilderness lodges, mountain stations, and unique stays made from snow and ice.
