BECOME AN ARCTIC SURVIVAL EXPERT
Snowshoes on! Let’s explore the wilderness of Lapland with this complete educational snowshoeing tour adapted to every level!
As you will snowshoe into the silent snowy forests, your outdoor guide will explain to you the basics of how to survive in such difficult conditions.
To begin, you will learn how to orient yourself with a map and a compass and find your own way to reach the shores of an immense frozen lake. Along the way, your guide will share with you knowledge about the surrounding nature. For instance, how to use some trees or mushrooms to make a fire, for medicinal purposes, etc.
Next, set up your own camp and build a fire using only natural materials. Let’s make your own fire (without matches or lighter!) to warm you up. Then it is a time to drill your own hole in the frozen lake and try ice-fishing! If you catch a fish, your guide will show you how to prepare it and grill it over the fire.
Don’t worry if you are not a confident ice-fisher! Your guide will prepare a delicious Finnish barbecue snack. This will also offer you a convivial moment around the fire and a great opportunity for your guide to answer all your questions about Lapland!
By the end of the tour, you should already be close to become the next Arctic adventurer of Rovaniemi!

The price apply for the whole group from 1 to 8 adults (from 12 years old), regardless of the number of participants. For children under 12 years old, please contact us before booking so we may discuss about an appropriate itinerary.
This tour involves a moderate amount of walking. Therefore, it is not recommended for pregnant travelers, individuals with heart conditions, or those with limited mobility.
To ensure your comfort, we recommend that you eat well before the tour, and dress properly according to the weather conditions. We offer overalls and boots in case you are not equipped ; please note that we rather recommend having your own winter ski equipment as this is always more comfortable. CANCELLATION POLICY
- We will charge a cancellation fee of 10% if booking is cancelled 7 days or more before departure;
- We will charge a cancellation fee of 50% if booking is cancelled between 7 days and 24h before departure.
- We will charge a cancellation fee of 100% if booking is cancelled 24h or less before departure.
