Discover Lapland’s winter wilderness through a private family adventure combining snowshoeing with practical nature and survival knowledge. Travel through snow-covered forests while your outdoor guide introduces children and adults to nature, winter travel, and traditional ways of staying comfortable outdoors.
Follow an easy snowshoe route adapted to your family’s pace, ages, and abilities. Together, prepare a simple camp, learn how to make a fire without matches or a lighter, drill a hole through the ice, and try traditional ice fishing on a frozen lake.
Because the experience is private, each activity can be adjusted to the children’s confidence and energy levels. During the fireside break, enjoy grilled sausages, snacks, and hot drinks. If you catch a fish that is large enough, your guide will show you how to prepare and cook it over the fire.

Please note
- This is a fully private experience, with a fixed group price based on the number of participants.
- A private family rate is available for groups of up to 4 participants, including at least one adult and one child ages 4 to 12. This rate applies because transportation is provided in a 5-seat SUV rather than a minivan.
- This experience is designed specifically for families and requires the participation of at least one child under 10 years old. For adults, teenagers, or families with older children, please see our standard Full Arctic Adventure.

Can I be picked up from my accommodation
Pickup is included in the tour price from the standard pickup locations listed below.
When booking, you can choose pickup or meet at the designated meeting point.
To reduce the environmental impact of unnecessary short-distance vehicle transfers, guests staying less than 750 m from the Nordic Odyssey office are required to meet directly at the office. Pickup is therefore not provided within this area.
Some locations outside the standard pickup area may have an additional charge. When applicable, it is stated in the pickup-location name.
If your accommodation is not listed, select the custom accommodation option during booking and enter the address. The pickup request is subject to confirmation.
