DESCRIPTION
RIDE YOUR FATBIKE WITH NO LIMITS!
The fat tires of your bikes allow you to ride on every kind of terrain : city roads, rocky paths, forests, sand and even snow! This is the perfect way to explore Lapland in summer & autumn!
Fatbikes are very easy to ride even for beginners. The tour is adapted to the levels of the participants, with different difficulty options and sightseeing opportunities.
We offer two options to enjoy the experience (with the same prices) :
OPTION 1 – GUIDED TOUR (4 HOURS)
Your guide will lead you from Rovaniemi city centre on a scenic itinerary. The tour is always adapted, based on your level and condition. The chosen route is designed to let you first get familiar with your fatbike on easy cycling paths before entering forests roads and/or reaching hilltops. A cultural tour of the different points of interests of the city and Santa Claus Village is also possible for those who are willing to go on an easy ride without too many challenges. In all cases, you may discuss the best itinerary options for your group.
During this 4-hour tour, your guide will also make a longer break to a nice viewpoints and prepare a typical Finnish snack around the fire for you! This is a good moment to learn more about the local culture and other aspects of Lapland
OPTION 2 – GUIDED TOUR 2H + RENTAL 22H
This option is designed to let you enjoy a longer fatbike experience with more independence. First, you will leave the city centre of Rovaniemi with your guide, who will help you get more familiar with your fatbike and provide you with some tips to correctly use the bike. Your guide will also tell you more about the city and the different point of interests you may find on your way. Like for the 4-hour guided tour, the itinerary is adapted to your wishes and physical condition. You may then for example decide to go for a visit to Santa Claus Village or ride through the forests of the Ounasvaara hill – the choice is yours.
At the end of the 2-hour guided tour, you may then continue the journey alone in total independence and return your fatbikes the following day. This option indeed gives you a 22 hour rental access after the 2h guided tour. Your guide can give you some advice about which way to take or where else you can go on your own.
The fatbikes are provided along with safety helmets, basic repair tools, a bicycle pump and bike locks.

MIDNIGHT SUN SPECIAL
Between 20 May and 31 July, we offer an evening option that allows you to enjoy the beautiful colours of the Midnight Sun. Cycling under a never-ending sunset is a great way to enjoy this special Arctic phenomenon in Summer.
Midnight Sun Special departure is set around 21:30.

PLEASE NOTE
The experience is always in very small groups. We recommend to book in advance, as availability may be limited in peak seasons.
A minimum of 2 paying adult participants is required for the trip to operate. We reserve the right to cancel the trip if the group is too small.
If you are a solo traveler, you may join a departing trip or we may organise the tour only for you at an additional cost.
The fatbikes are adapted to sizes from 155 cm (ideally 160 cm). Children can join the tour if they comply with the minimum height.
Please dress appropriately according to the weather. In summer, it is recommended to bring sun glasses and sunscreen. In autumn, please dress with warm clothing, beanies and gloves. We also recommend to take extra snacks and water if you feel the need to.
Departure is always from our office in city centre. Hotel pick ups can be arranged (please request it in advance).
CANCELLATION POLICY
- We will charge a cancellation fee of 10% if booking is cancelled 7 days or more before departure;
- We will charge a cancellation fee of 50% if booking is cancelled between 7 days and 24h before departure.
- We will charge a cancellation fee of 100% if booking is cancelled 24h or less before departure.
