Responsible choice
Leave Rovaniemi by electric fatbike and follow your guide along forest trails and easy cycling paths through the surrounding Arctic landscapes. The electric assistance makes the ride accessible, while the route and pace are adapted to the participants. After approximately 45 minutes, arrive directly at a traditional reindeer farm.
Meet the semi-wild reindeer and their local herders, with an opportunity to feed the animals by hand. Learn how reindeer are cared for throughout the year and discover how reindeer husbandry has shaped the culture, traditions and everyday life of Lapland.
Continue inside a traditional wooden kota for cookies and hot drinks around the fire while the herders answer your questions. Afterwards, return to Rovaniemi along a different route. The complete cycling journey covers approximately 20 kilometres, creating one connected nature and cultural experience.
