RIDE THROUGH THE ARCTIC LANDSCAPES
Hop on your electric fatbike and set off on forest trails and scenic paths. These bikes, equipped with large tires and an electric motor, are designed to handle all types of terrain with ease. Whether you aree an experienced rider or a complete beginner, this tour is accessible to all; even to families with teenagers.
Your guide will always adapt the route and pace to the physical level of the group. Because wee also keep our groups small, you will enjoy a more personal and comfortable experience.
VISIT A TRADITIONAL REINDEER FARM
After about 45 minutes of cycling through Lappish nature, you will arrive at a local reindeer farm. Reindeer are one of Lapland’s most iconic animals, and visiting them offers a unique insight into local traditions and traditional lifestyle. Meeting those lovely semi-wild animals is always a unique experience for anyone visiting Rovaniemi!
Enjoy a complete visit of an authentic reindeer farm, meet the herders and their animals, learn about their lifestyles and reindeer husbandry. As it is the first visit of the day, you will even get the chance to feed the reindeers with some of their favourite food directly from your hands. This is a great chance to approach the animals too, as reindeer are still very wild. After the feeding time, herders will take you in a kota, a traditional wooden house, to explain you more about their lifestyle around the fire. Cookies and hot drinks will also be served, as the herders answer all your questions.
CYCLE BACK ALONG A NEW PATH
After the visit of the farm, you will jump on your bikes again to ride back to Rovaniemi, using a different path. The total cycling distanve is around 20 km, mostly on easy forest trails and road cycling path. You will be back in Rovaniemi around 12:30, with an afternoon free for more Lapland adventures!
The electric fatbikes are provided along with safety helmets, basic repair tools, a bicycle pump and bike locks.

PLEASE NOTE
The experience is always in very small groups. We recommend to book in advance, as availability may be limited because this tour is unique in Rovaniemi!
To run the trip, a minimum of two paying adults is required. We reserve the right to cancel the trip if the group is too small. Solo travelers are welcome to join an already departing trip.
The fatbikes are suited for participants from 150 cm tall (ideally 155 cm and above). Children are welcome to join the tour as long as they meet the minimum height requirement.
Please dress appropriately according to the weather. In summer, we recommend sunglasses and sunscreen. In autumn, please dress with warm clothing, beanies and gloves. Additionally, feel free to bring extra snacks and water, especially if you tend to get hungry or thirsty during outdoor activities.
The tour always departs from our office in the city center. If needed, hotel pick-up can be arranged, just make sure to request it in advance.
CANCELLATION POLICY
- We will charge a cancellation fee of 10% if booking is cancelled 7 days or more before departure;
- We will charge a cancellation fee of 50% if booking is cancelled between 7 days and 24h before departure.
- We will charge a cancellation fee of 100% if booking is cancelled 24h or less before departure.
