Located one hour away from Rovaniemi, the Ranua Wildlife Park is the northernmost wildlife park in the world. It consists of approximately 50 wild animal species and 200 individuals. In the park, it is possible to see polar bears, brown bears, wild reindeer, wolves, wolverines, lynxes, predatory birds, otters, wild boars, and so many others.
The park is Lapland’s leading tourist attraction for families, groups with children and animal-lovers all year round. The park is also part of different European programs for the protection of endangered species.
This private trip departs from Rovaniemi where your guide will pick you up at your hotel. They will then drive you to Ranua wildlife park, and will accompany you along the 2.5km gentle walk into the snowy forest that takes you from one animal habitat to another. Information about each animal will be provided by your guide and the different information boards.
After the visit of the park, you will enjoy a tasty buffet lunch in the restaurant and drive back to Rovaniemi.

The price apply for the whole group from 1 to 8 adults, regardless of the exact number of participants. Private Family rate : this rate applies to a group of up to 4 participants, including at least one adult and one child (aged 4 to 12 years old). It is offered considering that the excursion is carried out in an SUV-type vehicle (5 seats) rather than a minivan.
Please dress appropriately according to the weather, with warm clothes, good winter boots, gloves, hats and thick socks. Professional winter overalls and winter boots will be provided if needed.
This tour is not recommended for travellers with very limited mobility, a certain amount of walking is involved (2.5km).
Meeting Time & Pick up : Note that the pick up time is for information purpose; thus, the exact pick up time will be communicated to you via email the day before the experience.
We offer free pick up and drop off services in a 8km range from the city center which includes for example Ounasvaara and Santa Claus Village. For ecological and logistical reasons, we may kindly ask you to walk directly to our office (Jaakonkatu 4-6, 96200 Rovaniemi) when your accommodation is located less than 750 meters from our Nordic Odyssey office in the city center. Airport transfers or transfers from more than 8km from the city center may be arranged upon request at extra cost.

Pickup is included in the tour price from the standard pickup locations listed below.
When booking, you can choose pickup or meet at the designated meeting point.
To reduce the environmental impact of unnecessary short-distance vehicle transfers, guests staying less than 750 m from the Nordic Odyssey office are required to meet directly at the office. Pickup is therefore not provided within this area.
Some locations outside the standard pickup area may have an additional charge. When applicable, it is stated in the pickup-location name.
If your accommodation is not listed, select the custom accommodation option during booking and enter the address. The pickup request is subject to confirmation.
