Discover two important parts of life in Lapland during a private reindeer farm and wilderness sauna experience from Rovaniemi. Begin at a traditional reindeer farm, where you will meet the animals, help with their feeding, and learn about their behavior, care, and role in northern culture from the local herders.
After meeting the reindeer, gather inside a traditional wooden kota for homemade pancakes with jam and a hot drink. This relaxed break gives you time to speak with the herders, hear about their daily work, and ask questions about reindeer husbandry and life in Lapland.
Continue to a peaceful lakeside cabin surrounded by forest, where your guide will prepare the wood-heated sauna and explain how to enjoy it in the Finnish way. Relax in the sauna for approximately one hour, cool down outside in the fresh winter air, or try optional ice swimming when conditions are safe. Hot drinks are prepared inside the cabin while your group enjoys the private setting.

Pickup is included in the tour price from the standard pickup locations listed below.
When booking, you can choose pickup or meet at the designated meeting point.
To reduce the environmental impact of unnecessary short-distance vehicle transfers, guests staying less than 750 m from the Nordic Odyssey office are required to meet directly at the office. Pickup is therefore not provided within this area.
Some locations outside the standard pickup area may have an additional charge. When applicable, it is stated in the pickup-location name.
