Follow your outdoor guide into Lapland’s snow-covered forests on snowshoes when conditions allow, while learning about northern nature, local wildlife, and practical knowledge of Arctic outdoor life.
During the hike, stop beside an open fire for a Finnish snack and hot drinks before continuing to a secluded lakeside cabin. Your guide heats the wood-fired log sauna and explains how to enjoy it in the Finnish way, alternating relaxed rounds in the heat with cooling breaks outside in the fresh air or snow.
Sauna towels, soap, and traditional birch tar sauna oil are provided, and your guide gives your group complete privacy during the sauna session. This private snow hike and wilderness sauna experience brings together outdoor exploration, fireside time, and an important Finnish tradition in one peaceful journey near Rovaniemi.

Pickup is included in the tour price from the standard pickup locations listed below.
When booking, you can choose pickup or meet at the designated meeting point.
To reduce the environmental impact of unnecessary short-distance vehicle transfers, guests staying less than 750 m from the Nordic Odyssey office are required to meet directly at the office. Pickup is therefore not provided within this area.
Pickup is included within 8 km of Rovaniemi centre.
Pickup outside the standard area may be possible for an additional charge. A location on the route to the activity may sometimes be included at no extra cost.
If your accommodation is not listed, select the custom accommodation option during booking and enter the address. The pickup request is subject to confirmation.
