Discover two of Finland’s most cherished winter traditions during a private ice-fishing and sauna experience near Rovaniemi. On the frozen river, your guide helps you drill through the ice and teaches you the techniques used by local anglers. Between attempts, gather around the fire for Finnish snacks and hot drinks while enjoying the stillness of the winter landscape.
After ice fishing, choose the sauna atmosphere that suits you best. The wilderness sauna offers a traditional escape in a secluded natural setting, with the possibility of ice swimming when conditions are safe. For a more contemporary experience, the panoramic sauna combines modern comfort with large windows and beautiful views across the river.
Both sauna options are reserved exclusively for your group. Your guide introduces the Finnish ritual of löyly and provides everything required for a comfortable session, including towels, soap and clean washing water. You are then left to relax privately and enjoy the warmth at your own pace.

Can I be picked up from my accommodation
Pickup is included in the tour price from the standard pickup locations listed below.
When booking, you can choose pickup or meet at the designated meeting point.
To reduce the environmental impact of unnecessary short-distance vehicle transfers, guests staying less than 750 m from the Nordic Odyssey office are required to meet directly at the office. Pickup is therefore not provided within this area.
Pickup is included within 8 km of Rovaniemi centre.
Pickup outside the standard area may be possible for an additional charge. A location on the route to the activity may sometimes be included at no extra cost.
If your accommodation is not listed, select the custom accommodation option during booking and enter the address. The pickup request is subject to confirmation.
