Begin at a peaceful riverside location near Rovaniemi, where your guide introduces the gentle canoe and panoramic sauna experience. After receiving instructions on paddling and water safety, set out across the calm river at a relaxed pace.
Paddle through quiet Arctic scenery while your guide prepares the wood-heated sauna for your return. The route is suitable for beginners, and your guide remains nearby to provide assistance while allowing you to enjoy the tranquillity of the water.
After canoeing, step into the warm panoramic sauna overlooking the river. Learn how to enjoy Finnish sauna traditions, cool down on the terrace or take an optional swim from the riverside walkway. Complete the experience with hot drinks and snacks while admiring the surrounding landscape.

- The tour requires a minimum of two paying adults to operate. We reserve the right to cancel if the minimum group size is not reached or if weather conditions are unsafe.
- Solo travellers are welcome to join any confirmed departure at the standard price or book a private departure for an additional fee.

Can I be picked up from my accommodation
Pickup is included in the tour price from the standard pickup locations listed below.
When booking, you can choose pickup or meet at the designated meeting point.
To reduce the environmental impact of unnecessary short-distance vehicle transfers, guests staying less than 750 m from the Nordic Odyssey office are required to meet directly at the office. Pickup is therefore not provided within this area.
Pickup is included within 8 km of Rovaniemi centre.
Pickup outside the standard area may be possible for an additional charge. A location on the route to the activity may sometimes be included at no extra cost.
If your accommodation is not listed, select the custom accommodation option during booking and enter the address. The pickup request is subject to confirmation.
