DESCRIPTION
Your private snowshoeing adventure!
As this is a private excursion, the guide can adapt the location to suit your physical level: the hike is generally around 3-4 km within a maximum of one hour from Rovaniemi, with the aim of reaching untouched remote lands or going deep into the forests. The experience is designed to explore elusive natural areas or reach some viewpoints.
Our team will be in contact with you to discuss and advise on the best option and the best place to go, depending on your wishes and what you would like to experience.
Along the way, your outdoor guide will explain the surroundings, the flora and fauna, footprints in the snow and so on. A short snack is included with a hot drink. This is an opportunity for your guide to answer any questions you may have about Lapland.
When you book, you’ll be able to choose between snowshoes or trekking skis. Snowshoes are easier to use on all types of terrain, but cover shorter distances. Altaï skis allow you to glide over deep snow, so you can go a little faster and further, but they can be more technical for hilltops or sloping terrain. In any case, both types of equipment are accessible to beginners. Please note that Altai skis are available at an additional cost (50€/group)

Our premium snowshoe/ski adventure allows you to either drive further away from Rovaniemi reaching scenic landscapes such as the famous Lappish hills also called “tunturi”.
We also have a relaxing option combining a short hike with our wilderness sauna experience to relax afterwards.

We recommend to book in advance, as availability may be limited in peak seasons.
The price apply for the whole group from 1 to 8 adults (from 8 years old), independent of the number of participants. For children under 8 years old, please contact us before booking so we may discuss about an appropriate itinerary.
A certain amount of walking is involved. This tour is not recommended for pregnant travelers, for people with heart conditions or with limited mobility. We do not recommend for children under 8 years old or with little walking condition to join the trip either.
We recommend that you eat well before the experience, and dress properly according to the weather conditions. We offer overalls and boots in case you are not equipped ; please note that we rather recommend having your own winter ski equipment as this is always more comfortable. CANCELLATION POLICY
- We will charge a cancellation fee of 10% if booking is cancelled 7 days or more before departure;
- We will charge a cancellation fee of 50% if booking is cancelled between 7 days and 24h before departure.
- We will charge a cancellation fee of 100% if booking is cancelled 24h or less before departure.
