MEET THE ARCTIC ANIMALS
Located just one hour away from Rovaniemi, the Ranua Wildlife Park is the northernmost wildlife park in the world and home to around 50 Arctic animal species and more than 200 individuals. At the park, you might see many fascinating animals, including polar bears, brown bears, wild reindeer, wolves, wolverines, lynxes, predatory birds, otters, wild boars, and so many others.
Above all, the park is Lapland’s leading tourist attraction for families, groups with children and animal lovers. It stays open all year, offering a unique experience in every season. Moreover, the park plays a key role in European programs to protect endangered animals.
This private trip departs from Rovaniemi where your own guide will pick you up at your hotel. He/She will then drive you to Ranua wildlife park, and will accompany you along the 2.5km gentle walk that takes you from one animal habitat to another. During the visit, your guide will share facts and fun stories about the animals. You will also find helpful information signs along the trail.
After the visit of the park, you will enjoy a warm buffet lunch in the restaurant. Finally, your guide will drive you back to Rovaniemi, where you will arrive in the early afternoon. Just in time for your next Lapland adventure!

PLEASE NOTE
We recommend to book in advance, as availability may be limited in peak seasons.
Private Family rate: this rate applies to a group of up to 4 participants, including at least one adult and one child (aged 4 to 12 years old). It is offered considering that the excursion is carried out in an SUV-type vehicle (5 seats) rather than a minivan.
Please dress appropriately according to the weather, with warm clothes, good winter boots, gloves, hats and thick socks. You may rent professional winter overalls and winter boots for an extra cost of 5€/set.
Please note that, while this experience is private and guided, other visitors may be present in the park.
A certain amount of walking is involved. This tour is not recommended for travelers with very limited mobility.
