Before departure, our team will discuss what you would like to experience and recommend a route based on your preferred scenery, activity level, distance, and the current snow and weather conditions.
Choose snowshoes for exploring varied forest terrain or Altai skis for gliding across deep snow and covering longer distances. Your guide will introduce the equipment and adapt the pace and route to your experience and physical condition. Depending on your preferences, you may explore the forests and hills around Rovaniemi or travel farther into Lapland to reach quieter forests, snow-covered fells, and panoramic viewpoints.
Along the way, your outdoor guide will share information about Lapland’s forests, wildlife, and tracks found in the snow. Stop beside an open fire to learn how it is prepared in winter conditions and enjoy a Finnish snack with hot drinks. Because the experience is fully private and tailor-made, the day is planned around your group rather than a fixed itinerary.

Can I be picked up from my accommodation
Pickup is included in the tour price from the standard pickup locations listed below.
When booking, you can choose pickup or meet at the designated meeting point.
To reduce the environmental impact of unnecessary short-distance vehicle transfers, guests staying less than 750 m from the Nordic Odyssey office are required to meet directly at the office. Pickup is therefore not provided within this area.
Pickup is included within 8 km of Rovaniemi centre.
Pickup outside the standard area may be possible for an additional charge. A location on the route to the activity may sometimes be included at no extra cost.
If your accommodation is not listed, select the custom accommodation option during booking and enter the address. The pickup request is subject to confirmation.
