Travel from Rovaniemi to Korouoma Canyon Nature Reserve, where ancient cliffs, pine forests and the winding Korojoki River create one of Lapland’s most distinctive landscapes. Follow your outdoor guide down into the canyon and explore its protected natural surroundings.
The trail leads through forest, along the river and beneath dramatic rock walls shaped by ancient geological forces. Your guide shares insights into the canyon’s formation, Arctic plants, wildlife and seasonal changes before preparing grilled sausage and hot drinks around the fire.
On the return journey, stop at Auttiköngäs Waterfalls, where rushing water flows through a forested gorge. Enjoy a short walk to admire the falls, or arrange an extended hike through the surrounding forest to reach the observation tower.

- The tour requires a minimum of two paying adults to operate. We reserve the right to cancel if the minimum group size is not reached or if weather conditions are unsafe.
- Solo travellers are welcome to join any confirmed departure at the standard price or book a private departure for an additional fee.
- A certain amount of walking is involved. To ensure a comfortable and safe experience, this tour is not recommended for pregnant travelers or guests with limited mobility.

Can I be picked up from my accommodation
Pickup is included in the tour price from the standard pickup locations listed below.
When booking, you can choose pickup or meet at the designated meeting point.
To reduce the environmental impact of unnecessary short-distance vehicle transfers, guests staying less than 750 m from the Nordic Odyssey office are required to meet directly at the office. Pickup is therefore not provided within this area.
Pickup is included within 8 km of Rovaniemi centre.
Pickup outside the standard area may be possible for an additional charge. A location on the route to the activity may sometimes be included at no extra cost.
If your accommodation is not listed, select the custom accommodation option during booking and enter the address. The pickup request is subject to confirmation.
