Pyhä is a well-known ski resort village beside the southern part of Pyhä-Luosto National Park, approximately 1.5 hours from Rovaniemi. In addition to its ski slopes, the area offers year-round access to Lapland’s forests, fells, and protected wilderness, making it an excellent destination for nature lovers and outdoor travelers.
Pyhä is particularly known for its dramatic geology and Forest Sámi cultural heritage. Its landscapes include rugged quartzite fells and deep ravines such as Isokuru Gorge, while the surrounding national park provides opportunities for hiking, snowshoeing, skiing, cycling, and ice climbing.
