A winter tour in Alta Fjord can be a magical experience. Yes, it may be cold, but it might be worth it for a chance to catch sight of whales. Recently whales have appeared in Alta Fjord. The whales have migrated further north allowing us to observe in our district. The two most common species in the Alta Fjord are sperm whales and killer whales (orcas), but there are also good opportunities to see porpoises and hourglass dolphins.

- If you are lucky, you can watch the hourglass dolphin swim wildly in the sea (it is quite the sight to see)

What is included
- The tour includes: a captain, a warm coverall and a life jacket
- Biscuit, tea and coffee is also included
What is not included
- Alcohol is not allowed on board
- Round-trip transport (can be ordered at an additional cost minimum 12 hours before the tour)
- Pets not allowed, except service dogs
Please note
- Age limit is 6+ year
- You must show up 15 minutes before departure to get dressed.
- NOTE: We cannot guarantee we find whales or if the weather is optimal to spot whales for each tour.
- When everyone is ready and dressed, the guide will give you necessary information before you access the boat.
- On board the boat you must follow all security policies and the information given to you beforehand.
Policy on Rescheduling Tours Due to Weather Conditions
- If adverse weather conditions occur at the time and date of a booked tour, you have the option to either cancel the tour with a full refund or reschedule it to a new date.
- Should you choose to reschedule rather than cancel, and a new date and time are agreed upon between you and the captain, this new arrangement becomes binding. If you does not attend the tour at the rescheduled date and time, the original booking remains valid, and payment for the tour will still be required in full.
- If you are late for the tour, the boat will wait max 10 minutes after the tour's starting time and then leave for the tour. You will then be reported as a no-show and not eligible for a refund.
