This is snowmobiling the way it was meant to be felt - just you, the machine, and 50 kilometres of raw Lappish wilderness stretching out ahead. No passenger. No compromises. Pure, unfiltered Arctic freedom.
You'll push across frozen lakes where the horizon disappears into white, tear through snow-laden forests where the trees blur past in a rush of powder, and carve your own line over open swamps and rolling fells. The terrain shifts beneath you - flat-out speed on the ice, technical turns through the trees, the rush of cresting a hill with nothing but sky ahead. Every kilometre is yours to own.
Halfway through, we pull up and cut the engines. The silence hits you like a wave. Heartbeat still racing, you catch your breath over a hot drink and a snack before the engines roar back to life. Your guide will have you fully briefed and confident before the first throttle pull. Adults 18+ only. No experience needed - just the appetite for it.
What is included
- Transfers in Ylläsjärvi (transfers in Äkäslompolo only on request), winter clothing, snowmobile instructions and snowmobile safari 1 person/snowmobile, driving about 40-50 km, hot drink, biscuits and professional guide.

Please note
Operated during winter season (snow and weather permitting). Minimum number of participants required for each safari is 2 full paying adults.
Snowmobile Safari Guidelines and Safety Information:
- The snowmobile driver must be at least 17 years old and hold a valid driving license recognised in Finland. Operating a motorised vehicle under the influence of alcohol or drugs is strictly prohibited by Finnish law.
- The safari includes third-party and comprehensive insurance with a maximum self-liability of € 990 in case of an accident. Please be aware that snowmobiling carries similar risks to driving any motor vehicle, and accidents may result in injury. The driver is responsible for any damage caused to the snowmobile.
- Not recommended for pregnant women, individuals with fragile musculoskeletal systems, or those with certain health conditions.
Pick-up and drop-off information
- Pick-up times may differ from the safari start time depending on your accommodation. Please check your ticket for the correct pick-up time. Pick-up and drop-off services are included in Ylläsjärvi and Äkäslompolo if not mentioned otherwise
- You can come to our Safari House also by your own car, by ski bus and by foot. Our address is Tirroniementie 2C, 95980 Ylläsjärvi.

This tour starts from our Safari Office located in the centre of village Ylläsjärvi. You can arrive at our Safari Office by foot, by skibus or by car. Arrive at least 15 min before the activity starts. Pick up your winter gear from our Safari Office. Wait until the tour begins. You can park your car in front of our Safari Office at Tirroniementie 2 C, 95980 YLLÄSJÄRVI Skibus stops in Eelin kauppa, 100 metres from our Safari Office.
