DESCRIPTION
DAY 1 – WELCOME TO ROVANIEMI & CANOE TOUR IN THE EVENING
Whether you arrive by bus, train or plane, your guide will come pick you up and drive you to your accommodation located in the city centre.
Our modern, cozy and fully furnished apartment is located in the city center of Rovaniemi. All services: shopping center & supermarket, restaurants, museums, bus stop to Santa Claus Village) are within a few minutes walking distance. Our apartment provides ample space for you to relax and recharge.
There is a private room for two adults and a convertible sofa-bed for two more people in the living-room. The fully equipped kitchen allows you to prepare your own meals, providing convenience and flexibility during your stay.
As “night” comes, it will be time for your first adventure! You will go for a canoe trip on Rovaniemi’s rivers. Depending on the start times, you may enjoy midnight sun or beautiful gold colours reflecting on the water.
During the experience, you will enjoy paddling your own canoe on a quiet lake away from the Rovaniemi area. This is a great outdoor experience that allows you to connect with the beautiful arctic nature while enjoying some gentle exercise.

Depending on your time of arrival, and level of your tiredness it is possible to postpone the canoe trip to another evening.
MAKE IT EVEN BETTER!
You may combine the canoe adventure with our panoramic sauna experience. An excellent midnight sun summer combo if you would like to mix a paddling time on the waters with a warm sauna session and the beautiful view over the river. The extra supplement is 40€/ person.
DAY 2 – ELECTRIC FATBIKE TOUR
The day starts with a cultural electric fatbike tour. You will discover with your guide a few famous attractions in the town but also some less-famous hidden treasures related to cultural, architectural and historical aspects of the city-centre.
The fat tires of your bikes allow you to ride on every kind of terrain! The engine will help you in the most difficult moments and will offer incredible comfort. This is the perfect way to explore Rovaniemi in summer!
After the visit of the city-center, you will cycle over the river through some forests in the direction of Santa Claus Village. There you may cross the Polar Arctic Circle, meet Santa Claus and discover the official post office where all letters arrive from all around the world.
The afternoon will be left free ; we recommend that you use that free time to visit the Arktikum Museum near the city centre.
TIP FOR AN EVENING ACTIVITY
Join our story-telling experience that will offer you an opportunity to learn more about Finnish culture, traditions and local history. While sharing his knowledge, your guide will even cook some pancakes around the open fire!
DAY 3 – REINDEER & HUSKY FARM VISITS WITH LUNCH
Today we will meet the iconic animals of Lapland! The guided excursion will offer you a memorable experience with the visits of two authentic family-sized places. This is your chance to get closer to those lovely furry animals, take pictures and learn more about them!
After being picked up, you will be transported to an ethical husky kennel outside of Rovaniemi. Dogs and mushers will warmly welcome you! You will enjoy time with the dogs: they love cuddles and photos! Mushers will also be happy to answer your questions around a warming open fire.
After that, your guide will drive you to your second stop of the day, a long-established local reindeer farm. The herders will gladly welcome you and introduce you to their reindeer while they are fed. This is your chance to gently approach the reindeer as they are still semi-wild animals. You will also enjoy a lovely time around the fire at the farm, where herders and your guide may answer all your questions about reindeer husbandry. A delicious home-made salmon soup will be served with hot drinks (vegan option possible on request), and pancakes cooked over the open fire!
DEPARTURE
All good things come to an end… and after those great days, it is time to say goodbye to Lapland! Today your guide will transfer you from the apartment to your departure point : either Rovaniemi train station or airport.

PLEASE NOTE
A minimum of 2 adult participants is required for the trip to operate. For large groups (more than 4 participants), please contact us and we can discuss a specific package with specific accommodation.
The appartment is equipped with all necessary facilities for a long stay, including kitchen, TV, etc. It is located in a quiet neighboorhood in the city centre of Rovaniemi, within walking distance of the main mall, smaller grocery shops and the Arktikum Museum. The package offers accommodation in one appartment only, for a group of 1 to 4 people (ideally two adults, or a couple with 2 children).
Child can take part to this package from 12 years old (fatbikes has a limited size) but we can adjust the package for children under 12 years old. Minimum size required is 155cm (160cm min. for comfort).
The meeting point for the activities will be the Nordic Odyssey office located 5 minutes by walking from your accommodation. Transportation and most of the activities are in small groups. Participants will be accompanied by a professional guide during the holidays.

- We will charge a cancellation fee of 20% if booking is cancelled 31 days or more before departure;
