fells, and a silence that reaches all the way to the horizon. This snowshoe hike takes you to the heart of it.
We set off from Ylläs ski resort and climb gradually through the winter forest toward Tuomikuru, a scenic traditional Lappish hut perched on the hillside with panoramic views stretching hundreds of kilometres across the frozen wilderness. At the hut, take a seat by the open fire, grill sausages in the traditional Finnish way, and enjoy warm berry juice while your guide shares knowledge of the surrounding nature, its wildlife and its history.
A genuine taste of Lapland's outdoor culture, accessible to most fitness levels. Minimum age 10. Maximum 8 participants.

- Instead of pick-up and drop-off, you can arrive to our Safari House also by your own car, by skibus and by foot.

This tour starts from our Safari Office located in the centre of village Ylläsjärvi. You can arrive at our Safari Office by foot, by skibus or by car. You can park your car in front of our Safari Office at Tirroniementie 2C, 95980 YLLÄSJÄRVI Skibus stops in Eelin kauppa, 100 metres from our Safari Office. Arrive at least 15 min before the activity starts. Pick up your winter gear from our Safari Office. Wait until the tour begins.
