If you’re looking for a way to get out into the wilderness, our snowmobile safari in Rovaniemi is a great option. With your guide, you’ll head into quieter, less-traveled areas, riding through peaceful snowy forests and across frozen lakes and rivers, away from the busier routes.
The tour is designed to give you a real feel for Lapland, taking you across a variety of landscapes such as lakes, rivers, marshes and through snow-covered forests.
Note: The price is based on two people sharing one snowmobile, you may switch the driver during the tour. If you’d like to drive on your own, a “solo driving” supplement of 85€ per driver is available (subject to availability).
Duration: 30 min of preparation and instructions are included in the total time + 1h30 snowmobile ride
What is included

- Snowmobile equipment : Thermal suit, boots, gloves, balaclava, helmet
- Hot drinks
- Shared snowmobile (2 people per snowmobile)
What is not included
- Excess waiver: The snowmobile driver is responsible for the vehicle and may be liable for damages up to 900€. However, it is possible to take out optional additional insurance for 30€ per person, which reduces the maximum excess to 150€ in the event of an accident.
Please note
- Drivers must be over 18 years of age and have a valid driver's license to operate a snowmobile.
- For safety reasons:
- People weighing over 120kg (265 lbs) must ride alone on their snowmobile and will be required to pay the single rider surcharge.
- People with disabilities may not be allowed to drive a snowmobile and, depending on the type of disability, may also not be allowed to ride as passengers.
- Pregnant women are not allowed to participate in snowmobile activities due to the associated risks.
