Join me, your local guide, for an experience led by a passionate, professional Helsinki expert who knows the city like the back of their hand – and loves sharing its stories, hidden gems, and everyday beauty with visitors from all over the world.
Finnish food is deeply rooted in nature and purity: wild berries, mushrooms, fresh fish, game from the forests, creamy dairy products, and rye bread that has shaped our culture for centuries. But food here is more than taste – it is a reflection of identity, lifestyle, and even happiness.
While we explore local flavours, we also walk through Helsinki’s story – its architecture, design, and culture. I will show you how everyday life, aesthetics, and well-being come together in one of the most livable cities in the world. Along the way, we also pass many of Helsinki’s key landmarks and highlights, experiencing the city from both a cultural and everyday local perspective. We will also visit two market halls during the tour: one of Helsinki’s most well-known and popular among visitors, and the Hakaniemi Market Hall, a local favourite – and also one of my personal favourites.
And yes – Finland has been ranked the happiest country in the world for the 9th year in a row in 2026. But the real question we explore together is: does food make Finns happy?
During the tour, I also share insider tips on where to go, what to see, and how to experience Helsinki like a local.
