Husky, reindeer and other animal experiences are eligible only when booked within 7 days before their departure. This allows us to include some popular animal activities while maintaining the promotional conditions.

Family experiences may also qualify, depending on the selected tour and rate. Please remember that younger children may not be able to participate in the complimentary Northern Lights experience because of minimum age restrictions. Eligible adults can still enjoy the offer.

Travelling with children? We particularly recommend contacting our team before making your reservations. We can advise you on suitable animal tours, family activities and the most convenient combination for your group.

For automatic online claims, both qualifying experiences must be booked and paid directly on the Nordic Odyssey website.

Reservations made through external resellers, travel agencies or other booking platforms are not included in the promotion.

If you arranged your experiences directly with our team by email, phone or at our office, you can still discuss the offer with us. These bookings are handled personally rather than through the automatic online claim form.

The Free Aurora Offer applies to qualifying experiences booked from 1 November 2026, while the campaign is active.

Both qualifying purchases must be made during the promotional period. Bookings made before 1 November cannot be included in the automatic promotion, even when the activities themselves take place later in the winter.

Absolutely! You do not need to purchase both experiences at the same time.

You can book your two qualifying tours in one shopping cart or make two separate reservations, even on different days.

Just remember to use the same email address for both bookings, as this allows our system to connect and verify your purchases.

The two tours must also be different experiences. Booking the same activity twice, even for different dates or participants, does not qualify.

If you accidentally booked using two different email addresses, or if someone else in your group made one of the reservations, contact our team. We can review your situation and discuss the available solutions.

The Free Aurora Offer is designed for experiences booked at their applicable regular prices and cannot normally be combined with discounts that reduce the price of your qualifying tours.

However, normal seasonal price variations are perfectly acceptable. For example, if the price of an experience increases during Christmas or another busy period, that does not affect its eligibility.

Only actual price reductions or incompatible promotional advantages are considered when checking your reservation.

The number of complimentary places depends on how many adults and children are included in both qualifying experiences.

Our system compares the number of adults and children booked for each tour and uses the smaller quantity in each category.

For example, if your first experience includes 4 adults and your second includes 2 adults, your complimentary Aurora tour can include 2 adults.

If both bookings include 2 adults and 1 child, the offer can include all three participants, provided the child meets the age requirement of the chosen Aurora experience.

The participants do not need to be exactly the same people on both paid tours. However, the promotion allows only one automatic complimentary tour claim per booking email.

Yes! Families are welcome, provided the children meet the minimum age requirement of the selected experience.

Aurora Snowshoeing: Minimum age 10 years.

These requirements are important because the experiences may involve spending several hours outdoors in Arctic winter conditions, sometimes late in the evening.

Please make sure your children meet the minimum age requirement before confirming the complimentary tour.

If your children are younger, don't worry! You can contact our team to discuss alternative Northern Lights activities or a personalized family experience. We will be happy to help you find something suitable for everyone.

Northern Lights Photography Hunting takes you on an evening adventure searching for beautiful Arctic skies and opportunities to photograph the Aurora.

Aurora Snowshoeing combines the excitement of Northern Lights hunting with a peaceful snowshoeing experience in the snowy wilderness.

Once your eligible bookings are verified, you can select your preferred experience and choose from the available departures. Complimentary reservations follow our normal booking availability, so we recommend arranging yours as early as possible.

Please remember that the Northern Lights are a natural phenomenon, and sightings can never be guaranteed.

Claiming your Free Aurora Offer is designed to be quick and easy!

Go to the Claim Your Free Tour section of this page and enter your booking reference. If you made two separate purchases, you can provide both references.

You will then be asked to verify the email address used for your bookings. Our system checks the eligibility of your reservations and calculates the number of complimentary places available to your group.

Once verified, you can select your preferred Northern Lights experience, choose an available departure and complete the complimentary reservation.

You do not need to wait until you have participated in both paid experiences, provided your qualifying bookings are already confirmed and fully paid.

Northern Lights can never be guaranteed, and we believe in being completely transparent about the conditions. Our guides carefully analyse weather forecasts, cloud movements and aurora activity before each tour, considering an area of approximately 100 km around Rovaniemi.

If the forecast looks particularly poor, we have several possibilities:

Reschedule your experience: You can contact us in advance to request another evening. Rescheduling is free of charge whenever availability allows.

Choose a different Aurora experience: Depending on the conditions, we may suggest switching between our two complimentary tours. Aurora Snowshoeing is a wonderful Arctic wilderness adventure even when the chances of seeing the Northern Lights are low. Northern Lights Photography Hunting offers greater flexibility to drive farther and explore different locations in search of clearer skies. Switching is always subject to availability.

What if the weather is dangerous?

We do not cancel tours simply because the Northern Lights forecast is poor. Conditions can change unexpectedly, and we prefer to give every evening a chance!

However, in exceptional circumstances, such as a severe snowstorm or unsafe driving conditions, we may need to cancel an experience for safety reasons.

If this happens, we will first help you find another available date or suggest a suitable alternative activity. If neither solution is possible and we must cancel your complimentary Northern Lights tour, we will offer a voucher worth €50 per adult and €40 per child, which you can use toward another experience on our website.
