Arctic Berry & Mushrooms Picking Hike

Embark on an easy walk into Lapland nature, just outside Rovaniemi, to collect arctic berries and/or mushrooms ! Passing through wild terrain and lush forests, you’ll immerse yourself in the wilderness’s beauty.

During the summer months (from mid-july to mid-september), our guides will lead you on a gentle hike in search of the gems of the tundra such as blueberries, cranberries or even arctic berries.

As the season changes and the air becomes cooler, the focus turns to the rich diversity of mushrooms that can be found in the Arctic environment (mid-August to early October). With the help of your guide, you’ll learn to identify basic edible varieties, such as cepes, or even spot a gold treasure : a chaga!

After a rewarding picking walk, relax by the open fire in the forest and indulge in the culinary delights prepared by our guides.
Imagine yourself savouring a tasty omelette with mushrooms you’ve just picked, or sipping freshly made blueberry juice or aromatic infusions made from tender young pine thorns. Such a peaceful reminder of the natural abundance that surrounds you! And for dessert, a homemade blueberry tart, lovingly baked beforehands! Yummy!
