Ice Fishing on a Frozen Lake

Discover a tradition that has been part of life in the Far North for centuries. After a guided snowshoe walk to a frozen lake, you will learn how to safely drill through the ice and use traditional fishing techniques. If you are lucky enough to make a catch, your guide will even show you how to prepare it.

Each private chalet has its own Finnish sauna, which you can enjoy whenever you wish. Your guide will show you how to heat it and share tips for enjoying the experience like a local. For a refreshing Finnish tradition, alternate the warmth of the sauna with a cool shower, or even a roll in the snow, if you are feeling adventurous!

Reindeer farm visit and 2 km sleigh safari

Reindeer sleighs were traditionally used to transport people and goods across Lapland. Today, experienced herders continue to train their reindeer and preserve this important local tradition. Settle into the sleigh for a peaceful ride through snow-covered forests and beautiful Lappish scenery.

Finnish cooking workshop

Complete your Lapland experience with a Finnish cooking workshop led by your guide. Discover the ingredients found in Lapland’s forests and learn how local people use them in traditional cuisine.
