This beginner-friendly snowmobile and ice fishing experience is perfect for families, first-time drivers and anyone wanting to experience authentic winter traditions in Lapland.
Your adventure begins at our office in Levi, where we provide warm winter clothing together with safety instructions and guidance on operating the snowmobile. Our modern snowmobiles are easy to drive and suitable even for beginners.
Once everyone is ready, we head out through snow-covered forests and across open frozen marshlands towards one of our local lakes.
At the lake, your guide will choose a suitable ice fishing spot and everyone will have the opportunity to try drilling a hole in the ice themselves. You will also learn how to prepare the fishing equipment and how traditional ice fishing works.
While waiting for the fish to bite, we gather around an open fire to roast sausages, enjoy cookies and warm drinks in the peaceful winter scenery. If you catch a fish, your guide can prepare it for you to take along.
After the break, we continue the adventure by snowmobile back towards Levi through the beautiful winter landscapes of Lapland.
No previous snowmobiling or ice fishing experience is required.

• Adult driving alone on one snowmobile: 199€ / person

Duration: approx. 3 hours
Children over 120 cm may sit behind an adult on the snowmobile. Children under 120 cm travel safely in a sledge behind the guide’s snowmobile.
What is included
- Snowmobile gear/clothing, ice fishing equipments, petrol, guide and drinks and food according to safari description as well as VAT.

Please note
Things worth knowing about snowmobile safaris:
- This safari is part of our winter weekly programme: valid from November to April.
- All snowmobiles are insured (notice self liability on snowmobile). Self liability in case of accident is max.1500 € for the Premium snowmobiles.
- The minimum age for riding a snowmobile is 18 years. The rider must possess a driving licence and this licence must be carried at all times when riding the snowmobile!
- Children are sitting on a sledge during the safari. Children over 120 cm tall can sit on the back of the snowmobile as passengers. Please note, our guide make the final decision of child´s seating regarding the safety reasons.
- Driving under influence of alcohol or drugs is prohibited. Alcohol tolerance on safaris is zero (0). Finnish law strictly prohibits driving a snowmobile under the influence of alcohol. Drivers will be breathalyzed before departure. Participation will be denied if under the influence of alcohol; no refund applies.
- For your own safety, please take any possible necessary medications with you on the safari (asthma inhalers, insulin, heart medicines, etc.).
- We do not recommend participating on a snowmobile safari if you are pregnant.
- Remember to wear at least the next under the thermal overall: long armed and trouser leg underwear (set of sportive underwear is good), warm socks and second layer of fleece or woolen material. Pull the thermal overall on these. Remember: Colder the weather is more layers you need!
